If needed, here's how we explain the rules in a convention:
1/ Provide setup informations:
- Use game aid to explain "flip" and "anchor" icons
- Explain how to read a card and when to apply the texte depending on the background (paper-coloured, black or red)
=> Let the players set up, ignoring the red part of the cards.
2/ Explain the following rules before you start playing:
- How to play a character (PC), showing the summary of actions on the game aid
- There is no turn order between PCs.
- Terrain lines and level change (stairs) and how to move.
- Don't forget to place tokens on a new Terrain with a reminder of the events
=> Let the players use their action Tokens
3/ How the timeline works:
- How to move the Hourglass in a loop on the timeline.
- The red part of the cards to be applied only when the Hourglass moves on a card.
=> Move the Houglass on the timeline and apply all the red parts of the cards until the PCs recover their action tokens. Then continue to play, answering questions (1st Items, 1st Terrain action...).
4/ When the 1st NPC arrives:
- Explain fighting rules.
- Explain wounds, serious injury, and healing.
=> Let the players continue playing and answer questions if needed.
